LOCH NESS

it’s february

it’s vast

it’s windy

the waves are huge

like some galloping ocean

I can’t see the end

what is horizon

what it sky

what is snow

 

I lose sight of the stranger many times

we ride up and down

In the lull, in the sounds, I hear them ask me softly

‘are you ok?’

I am great

I am having the time of my life

I feel the depth below me

I am tiny

I am smiling

I am alive

 

Loch Ness was also shown as part of Moray Arts Festival 2015 in North East Scotland and in 'Nofio/Swimming' at Aberystwyth Arts Centre in 2018
